Orange Juice!
*Updating Fail*
Well let's start with the usual updates and then I'll move into the juicy bits!
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 293.6lbs as of Friday, April 18th
Current Injury: Bruised vag... it feels as bad as it sounds
Beverage of Choice: Orange juice, extra pulpy
Song of The Day: United States of Whatever, Liam Lynch
Now for the "juicy bits". Me = Not going to FSB in the fall. I decided as time got closer and still no one wanted to buy my car; financially, it wasn't gonna happen. I really still believe that God wants me to go to bible school... Just not yet. Dad and D. were planing to pay for most tuition and pay my minimum payments on my debt... but... I can't do that. I need to be responsible and do it on my own. Now, back to my old plan... the 2 year plan... Pay off the debt, pay off the car, save up loads of money, and then go get my education. Sounds good to me. Short and sweet, but that's that and there ain't much more to say about it.
About two weeks ago I pulled my dad's bike out of storage. I surveyed the old bike and assesed it's damages. Overall, the bike needs a tune up and some new tires. For right now I just needed the $14 tire pump, the $3 bike lock, and the $17 gel seat. I rode around a little on the original seat that came with the bike about 15 years ago, in Japan... But, that was short lived and so was the intact nature of my unbruised behind. The day after maden venture out in to the wilds of Pacific, I could barely sit down on anything less than plush. Yesterday, with the new, more squishy seat installed I rode from the Apartment to behind Emerald Downs... I googled it... that's just about 5.14 miles one way; I didn't even notice. This morning I was a wee bit sore but nothing too bad. So, when I got home I went for another expadition... however this one ended MUCH SOONER.... did you know that you can slowly... and most surely bruise your vag... right along with my bum. I swear, pins and needles... burning... tenderness (in a bad way) on your... uh situation... Not Fun!
Other random bit's o'information...
My sister is on a business trip in the Bahammas... yeah, it must totally suck.
My brother-in-law is home alone without a car.
I just found my camera...
and my bedroom is trashed!
Peace out, like brussel sprouts!

Chapter 1: Tuesday
Nate Bergsted 651-578-6161
"Ooooh" Gideon said half out loud and half in a breath. The significance of this tiny piece of paper is that this was the name and number of a man around her own age, from church that might want to buy her car. Gideon had completely forgotten getting his information during church last Thursday. Nate had found her in the crowd of people walking to watch a baptism, while moving from the little sanctuary they meet to the big one where the church building had thier baptismal pool. Nate is a shortish stalky man, standing about 5' 6" to Gideon's 5'8", pre-mature balding causing it's havok on his stylishly untidy light brown hair, and some almost trendy glasses placeed upon his face. Whatever he may have lacked in height or hair he made up with a big smile and an energetic greeting. "Of course, first impressions are hard to judge by..."Gideon thought to herself that night. "His energy and friendliness could always end up being the result of overcompensation for a lack of actual conversation skills." Gideon was always the optimist.
Quickly Gideon put the yellow piece of paper back in to her bag and ran back to work. She was needed up front due to another rush of hungry quazi corporate men and women coming in for sanwhiches. Along with being noted Best Bakery 2001-2008 for our delicious breads and cookies. Great Harvest also had a local reputation for serving up a kickbutt sandwhich. The day went by so quickly and before she even had time to sit and think about her plans for the afternoon or even think about Nate Bergstedt again; it was 1pm and time to clock out and leave Bakery Land. Gideon walked out to the parking lot, promptly got into her car and stuck the key in the ignition; she needed to roll down the windows ASAP. Today was an almost unseasonably warm day. Hitting nearly 75 degrees in the first week of April was pretty must unheard of in this part of Washington State. Lazily, she looked at the collection of trash on her passenger side floor and then up to her bag laying open on the the seat beside her; waiting patiently for the other drivers in the lot to let her out of her spot. Laying right on top of the random collection of things that had accculated in her bag was Nate's yellow note. Almost in reflex, Gideon grabed the paper, grabbed her cell phone and began to dial. There was no answer so she left a message.
"Uh, Hi! This is Gideon. I'm the girl from church that's selling her car. I know we kind of talked about how much I needed to sell the car for last week, but, uh there has been some changes in my financial options, some awesome changes! And, uh I wanted to give you first dibs on the lowered price of my car. If you're still looking to buy a car.... uh... yeah. Call me back. 253-279-1357."
Always graceful... uh, uh, uh...

Wednesday = Poetry Day!
Attention
The reason why my heart is broken,
is not what happened.
It’s the knowledge of what could have been.
You could have been there when I needed your support.
You could have made me feel like I had worth.
Your apology seems empty to me.
I’ve heard the words a thousand times before.
Truthfully, I want to forgive you – it’s hard.
Your actions left bitterness in me,
a broken part that wasn’t anticipated.
What you say now cannot unbreak the heart you broke.
I’m broken.
I don’t know how to be fixed.

When I Grow Up.... I'll be a crafter?
Tuesday's Post: M.I.A.
Today's Soundtrack: Shapeshifter -Marcy Playground
Good Evening!
Today after I went to the library and stole some music for my Sansa... I came home, read my e-mail, looked at a t-shirt on my floor that I've always adored and realized that I keep wearing that t-shirt because I love the design on it; and I keep wearing it even though it's too small. Here is the shirt:
(Toga costume - laying about)
I'm sure there is a picture of my wearing it some place, I just can't seem to find it. :-) Anyways, with these too pieces of supply I started to feel crafty... I have never made a... well an anything with success before so I went in to my crafting endevor comepletely expecting to fail. Soooo I decided to make a tote bag, I grabbed my craft supplies, my fabrics, and my sunny disposition and started on my way... no pattern... Please enjoy my craft excursion which I decided to record through the magic of digital photography.
During this bit of time I was talking to Ang on the phone.... soo... no pictures.... but here's what I made while I was talking to her!
And now, various pictures of me trying to show off how awesome my bag is... Some more hilarious than others. =-)
That last one is pretty much amazing!
Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing my crafty skills in action.
Good Night,
Giddy

The Sarah-Beth ol' One-Two Knock Out!
Right Hand: Better
The Swap: Is on! (I will explain later)
Current Mood: A bit lonely
Soundtrack to this blog: The Carpenters: The Singles 1969-1973
Goal: Return my books to the library and a blog a day for the next week.
Today, I thought was a day just like every other Monday. Oh but was I in for a pleasing surprise! I got to work on time-which was nice, I made bread without Bryan The Bread Guy because he's currently on vacation; Speaking of which, I was informed today that I'm not allowed to tell people who call work asking for him, I'm just supposed to say "Oh he's not in, can I take a message?" and maybe he'll call them back... or maybe not. Around noon I was cutting up some avocado for our sandwiches when I happened to look over my shoulder and out the window and to my most certainly pleased surprise I see Sarah and Bethie making their way down the walk to the store door!
*Happy Butterflies!*
They ordered some sandwiches, bread, and some beverages and hung around a bit and ate. Before leaving they went over to SEE's Candy across the parking lot and brought me a chocolate "SEE-gar" Here's a picture of me sniffing it.
After work Sarah and Bethie met me at the apartment of doom (the place I leave at with my Dad and D) and we drove to Olympia. First stop was Beth's house, we broke some bread together (literally) and it was delicious! By 3pm we were at Ethan's school picking his cute little self up. I met him with a huge embarrassing hug in front of all of his classmates-I'm sure it's a moment that he will relive someday in therapy-he secretly liked it though, I know. Then we picked up AJ and made our way to the movie theatre. We watched "Race to Witch Mountain", it was alright for kids movie and anything with The Rock in it is good to me *wink*. What I do want to see though is a movie I saw a preview for; a movie by PIXAR called "UP" it looks totally cute! It seems to be a story about an old man that attaches his house to a KAHBILLION balloons and floats on up and out to an adventure. Little did he know when he took flight that there was a "boy scout" on his front porch; unfortunately because he had already taken flight the old man's unplanned/unwelcome guest becomes part of the quest and they are forced to work together through storms and what appears to be magical adventures in foreign lands. I'm really excited about the prospect of seeing it.
I'm home now, obviously. I had a pretty awesome day, today filled with laughing and good times. I really miss my family and friends in O-town and I'm going to miss them even more when I go to WY.
Good Night,
Ms. Friday

Essusa me, canna I take yo pichar?
Room: Clean-ish
Right hand: INJURED!
Car: Still for sale... buy it... now...
This morning is was so cold and I swear on my way to work I hit every red light! Pretty much annoying... Other than being practically late for work this morning, my day was pretty uneventful...That was until two white women with nine teenage Japanese girls in tow, walked into the store. All four of us were kneading bread so Dominique and Daniela went to help them while Harmony and myself continued cutting and kneading the bread. Harm and I are behind the front counter, working and talking when all of a sudden 2 teenage asian girls are standing at the end of the table... "Escusa, canna I take yo pichar?" one of them says to us... "Uh sure.." we replied and went back to work as more of the girls rushed to join the first two. Some of the girls asked questions like "Ahow meny of de lovahs do yo maka eacha day?" and "Ohhh, do yo lie yo job?". When I had to use the bowl lift to dump about 35lbs of white bread dough onto the kneading table all of the girls rushed fully into the work area behind the front counter and all I could her was the clicking of digital cameras and mumbling in Japanese.

My favorite part though I think is when I cut the first hunk of dough and threw it to the other end of the kneading table and all nine girls went "Oooooo!" completely in unisen. It's great, I've never been a tourist attraction before. I guess I just always assumed they had bakeries in Japan... guess not. :-P And like I told the girls at the store when our adoring Japanese fans departed. "We're totally gonna end up on some Japanese version of MySpace under album named "My Trip To AMERICA!"."

Sex and The Soul of a Me
"Sex and The Soul of a Women" - Great book, go read it. Y'know, if you're a lady. =)
I've found my self with a lot more "ME" time recently, which means a lot more time to just relax and think; which of course can be so dangerous! It's strange though that during these times the things that I do, seem to spark memories of the days gone by, of the bad choices I've made, of the men I've been attached to. Until I was 19 years old I always told myself "just wait, God will send you someone." and that, paired with teenage angst and lack of self esteem kept me from making what seems to be the usual bad teenage choices. Unfortunately though, I've always been boy crazy but really good at hiding it. I'm pretty sure I hide the boy crazy parts of me because I recognize the danger laying just below the surface; if I chose to embrace my true inclinations the results could be catastrophic. In my boy crazy ways I've had crushes at one time or another on pretty much every male I've ever known... Uh oh!
It was after I finally, after weird incident followed by weird incident ended up "dating" Eric and consequently breaking up with him, something snapped inside me and I let my boy crazy self free... a little bit. After Eric there was a string of attachments that I kept so secret, some of the dearest people in my life barely know they existed. I never really "dated" these people but attachment to them was formed, for a short while. First there was Henry, then Jack, Then Joseph, Brian, Dan, and than most recently Jessie. I can honestly say not much of my heart was left with Eric, Henry, Jack, Joseph, Brian, or Dan, I wish I could say the same for Jessie. It's hard for me to explain why I liked Jessie so much, he really didn't have much to offer other than that he appreciated me for just being me, he never only wanted me for the possibility of sex or want to use me for money; he just wanted to be with me and he showed initiative. (Okay, maybe it's not that hard to explain. =-P) The point is though, I gave up waiting for God's timing and rushed for my own. I made bad decisions. I lost parts of me by giving myself to them.
Now, now don't be worried, my virtue is fully intact. But, the intimacy that was shared I feel has left a scare. If I had only just had faith in God's timing I wouldn't have the hard memories of rejection and of breaking other peoples hearts that I do have now. I would have had a full unmarred heart to share with whoever my future and God might bring me. I know I'm forgiven now for my lack of faith but that doesn't change the regret I feel for giving parts of myself away to people who were, undeserving - for lack of a better term. As a women, (I'm not sure how it works with men, 'cause I've never been one.) physical contact is paired with emotion. There is no "just physical" parts of our being or brain. All of it is tied into our hearts and our psyche; really it's a horrible tangled web. The bright side is that attachment to someone, if they play their "cards" right is quick and long lasting. And to clarify, I am in no way saying that women are all emotion and no logic, because that simply is not true. However, unless I go into a situation KNOWING that I need to treat is in a way separate from my emotion it effects me. Maybe that is just me.... Maybe...
With all of that said, I urge any women to wait for God's timing and will, don't lose track of what you really want, compromise your integrity, or settle.
Much Love,
Ms. Friday

Hanging With My Homie
Headache: Severe
Hanging: With Mr. Ethan

The play areas are made giant and super reinforced so that parents or the parents best friends can play on them too. The only issue is you can't just go all by yourself you HAVE to have a little kid with you. Blah blah blah... I think I need to have myself a kid so that I can go whenever I want to. Ingenious!
I've been spending the day away watching Pheneus and Ferb (I probably spelled that wrong) and Ben 10 (I had no idea that these shows existed). Ethan and I have been bonding and discussing engaging topics like why Ben 10 is growing up, the delicious factors of gold fish crackers and different ways robots can be altered to become weapons.
Here's to a day of laziness and great conversation!

Grumpy Gills and Random Thrills
Location: P-Town
Cars Current for Sale: 1 green Crysler
WebMD Diagnosis: Rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus
Music: Regina Spektor
General Happiness: I give it a 7 on a scale of 1 - 10.
The Thrills:
I went to work today with the worlds worst head ache... But, turns out I was just being menstrual, so that sucks. (Not considered a thrill.) Today this random guy from my old work place came in for a sandwich. I can't say it was really weird considering my bakery is only 10 minutes from the NGO of justice during rush hour. However, I never anticipated the first person I would see from work would be the one person I totally thought was cute. :-P He kinda looks like a much less attractive version of Matthew Perry.

I don't think he recognized me though, but I used that to my advantage and messed with him. I called him by his name and asked him how he was doing... he was trying to be polite but he was totally making that "Oh crap, how do I know this person?!?!" face. I love it! Also, today I finished another critter. He's a bear. I call him Denim!
Now....
The Grumpy Gills:
Number 1 being the Sam fiasco! *humph*
Number 2 is, today I found out that my Dad's ex-fiance (who is also now married) is in the hospital. She has a terminal form of cancer and has been admitted to the hospital and things don't look so hot. Please pray for her and her family.
Number 3 is the incident that just occurred between me and D. Having just finished reading a chain email about 80's pop culture, I walked out of my room singing "Shot Through The Heart" to go to the kitchen and get a quick snack before sleeping. Instead of the intended amused response from Dad and D what I get is quiet Dad and D staring at me with a pissed look on her face. "Are you coming out finally to help clean up?!?" said D... What did I miss?!? I still don't know. My response "Are you mad at me? Did I do something?"... D's response to my response "It would be nice if someone did things and not just me." Someone of course being me. "I don't have a problem helping, you just have to let me know when you need help." and then she said " I shouldn't have to ask." I then told her to leave the kitchen and I would finish the dishes.... "I shouldn't have to ask." What the deuce!?! I hadn't even eaten dinner or made any dirty dishes today... What happened to people and usually women that makes them think that the other people in their life should just know everything. What's wrong with asking sometimes?

Monday Night Bible Study and a Goodbye Explanation
Number of Showers Today: 0
Occupation: Baker
Number of Random Old Acquaintances Seen Yesterday: 1
Number of Friends Departed: 1
Last night to the young adult bible study at a young lady named Molly's house. I met Molly once just before Christmas at a gathering at Pastor Tim's house; She was really nice but kinda weird... Y'know that kind of "genius weird". She's really nice and every now and then she has a good joke/quip but then she abruptly stops being involved in the conversation and stares in to space. She's a fire fighter... Not a normal fire fighter - she pilots helicopters and fights forest fires all over the US, Canada, and Mexico; and she's 23. Turns out that she's getting her masters in National Security and wants to join the FBI... do you "join" the FBI? I'm just reminding myself that society needs all kinds to function properly. We need bakers just like we need forest fire fighters and FBI agents, obviously though under different levels of importance and severity.
I left work late yesterday with a loaf of whole wheat bread and pumpkin bread in tote... On my way from the car to the apartment I saw my old acquaintance Liz strolling up the walk with her 3 year old son Bill. I've known she's lived near me for the last 5 months but because of one thing or another, any arrangements to meet up have been stopped. We talked for a bit and I gave up the 2 day old pumpkin bread as an offering of goodwill and meeting. I hope I get to see her more. Any time with people other than the ones I crochet or the ones that are trying to "parent" me is absolutely wonderful!
After bible study (which was pretty much awesome, not because of the people but because of the topic.) I called my homie Sam for probably the 16th time in the last two weeks. I had completely expected him to ignore me again like he has been; and if he had I was going to be leaving him a ridiculously theatrical voicemail about abandoning his fictional children and how his Oxycontin addiction is destroying our family.... .... ....
***Please hold***
.... .... ... I had to go shut my door, I had overheard way too much about D's gyno appointment this afternoon and the nausea inducing sounds of slobbery Dad and D kisses.... ... ... I can hear everything in their room..... ... ...
ANNNYWAY, back to what I was talking about. I had called Sam hoping to talk with him but knowing that I probably wouldn't be able to. I haven't spoken with him since the first Thursday in February when we went out for a late, late meal at my favorite Shari's in Olympia. That night he and I had a 5 hour conversation starting with the ludicrous amount of items on the Shari's menu that involve "Applewood Smoked Bacon", moving to his beliefs as an agnostic person and mine as a Christian. Then conversation went to the reason I want to go to school and reasons he thought I was going to go to school. Around 1am we left the restaurant and in the parking lot the conversation moved to a place we've been many, many, many times before - him being in love with me and me not reciprocating. This then lead to another hour long conversation standing between our two cars, the sky threatening at any moment to start falling down on us. I told him I just didn't feel the same way and that I would never date or marry a Non-Christian. That topic of course lead to him bringing up my past dating indiscretions. He confessed to me that he had always hoped I would learn to be agnostic too, just like him. Basically saying in not as many words that he thought I was smart and that I would choose the agnostic ideals because Christians are foolish to have their beliefs. When we parted that night he told me he didn't want me to change the way I acted toward him and that we would still be friends; just like we always had been.
Unfortunately though, things are not the same, I think I knew things had to change but I didn't want to think about it. He has been ignoring my calls for the last 2 1/2 weeks, which he confessed to be truth last night and not just something my intuition was telling me. He wouldn't talk, I tried to get him to talk with me like we always had, he wouldn't. Then I started to get mad. I spared my natural reaction for sarcasm and tried to mimic his usual habit of logic in crappy situations. I told him that if what he was trying to do was withdraw from me, ultimately being a jerk and ignoring me would work and thus he would be able to attach to someone else, some one he could have a relationship with. I asked him if there was anything else we could talk about, his response to my inquiry for the 27th time since the phone call started 10 minutes earlier was "I don't know." I was so mad, faining away all the emotion from my voice I could I told him I had to go to sleep and he could call me if he ever wanted to.
I was infuriated! I emotionally ate the dinner I had got myself with record speed, then did the only thing I could think of; Breath and then call Angie. At the time I didn't really know why I was so mad... but, obviously now I realise I was mad because I knew there was nothing I could do to make our friendship whole again. I had lost Sam. I called Ang and explained everything to her, by conversations end I wasn't mad any more, I was heart broken. I tried to go to sleep but to no avail. I could let our (mine and Sam's) last conversation be of me being a grumpy stupid head. I called him up... not really a big mistake but maybe I should have taken a few more deep breaths before dialing. I told him I'm sorry that everything is horrible, I'm sorry that I was a jerk to him on the phone about 3o minutes previously, I told him I understood why he didn't know how to be my friend right now, and if he ever wanted to, I am here for him to call. As I have tried to explain to many times to people, I had tried to explain to Ang why Sam is so important to me. He has special place in my heart. Out of all of the people I've met he understands my ADD infected brain more than any of them and underneath his crude humor and rude actions was someone who for some whacked reason wanted to accept me in all facets. I lost that person last night, officially.
This situation is ridiculous... and crappy... there is no resolution where both parties will be happy. I never thought in all my life that this would be something I... the weird looking, goofy, fat girl would have to worry about. Last night for maybe the 3rd time in my entire life I cried myself to sleep. Not quiet, lost crying like I did when my mom died, or the heart wrenching rejection tears I cried that one time Sister Sarah and I had a big fight, this was gross angry crying because I couldn't fix any part of it. It feels like he's gone and died, or worse, just disappeared without any form of resolution; I guess that's kind of what happened.
Life is so strange, even with different aspects of life falling apart because I'm staying true to myself and my beliefs I'm still the happiest I've been. I'm still stepping out of who I have been and becoming who I want to be. Which is a Gideon Friday after God's own heart, all of these things are just refining fire. I woke up this morning around 3am while rolling over and in those few seconds of awakeness that I would never call alertness the only thought I had was these lines from a random hymn I probably haven't heard in years, "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bare, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer." Some may claim holy intervention, some may say my subconscious was just looking for answers. I say, God made me with a subconscious to store information so that he can use it to intervene with it whenever his holiness deems it appropriate.

As You Like It.. And oh sir I do!
Currently Watching: As You Like It - An HBO production
Weight: 281.4lbs Fo' Serious!
Last night I went again to Bethany Baptist Church in South Hill. They have a college age church service on Thursday nights called Mosaic. I've gone twice and so far I really like it, I like the music and I like the messages. However the people there are very thin, beautiful, and trendy, I don't really fit in with them but Justin, Eric, and My homies Jared, Logan and his brother Tyler all attend there; so I don't feel totally out of place. It is astonishing to me though that there are so many well dressed people in one place, it must be incredibly exhausting to be so fashionable all the time. Apparently this church is the meeting place for all the upper middle class in the greater Puyallup area.
On a new topic and in some wonderful news, I still love my job! So far my favorite co-worker is Dominique, she's going to come to church with me this coming Thursday or the next. I think it's funny though, her reasonings are much different than mine. I want to go to learn and worship, she wants to find a husband. :-P Maybe I should just tell her to go to Christian College. Speaking of Christian College, my application went out on the 18th... Do you think it's made it to Wyoming yet? I'm so nervous, what if they don't like me? I've been having strange dreams filled with my two largest fears right now - The other night I dream't I was horribly messing up the morning breads at work and that because my testimony was too short I was being fired. Ee-gads!
Well, now I must go put some clothes on and head on over to the bank to cash my first pay check from GH. I would like to mention that right now I'm watching As You Like It and Sir Oliver is pretty much absolutelt gorgeious.

I'm simply genius!
I'm a genius! About a week ago I had totally radical-awesome idea. For years (seriously) I've been challenged by conflicting desires to read and to crochet; unfortunately, it's simply impossible to do both simultaneously. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner... fool! Audio books, genius! This morning Bryan The Bread Guy and I were discussing the best part of audio books is borrowing them from the King county library, or as he says it "King county Ly-berry" and then burning them and putting them on your Sansa. He does this for his mom who is like 69 years old. The fact that I'm doing something a 70 years old women does just continues to establish my granny like qualities. My first audio book was The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde it's kind of a mystery/fantasy novel kinda book.
The plot is: DCI Jack Spratt (Of the Nursery Rhyme, Jack Spratt could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean. The book aludes that his wife died because of her inability to eat lean.) heads the Berkshire Nursery Crime Division, handling all inquiries involving nursery rhyme characters and other PDRs (persons of dubious reality). After doubts arise concerning his handling of the Great Red-Legg'd Scissorman's arrest and the Red Riding Hood affair, he is suspended pending a mental health review. His DS Mary Mary promises to consult him on all cases, to bypass the suspension. They begin an investigation of porridge-smuggling by anthropomorphic bears.
Jack's troubles increase when the argumentative Punches move in next door and his son adopts a sly and sticky-fingered pet. He is forced to reveal to his shocked wife that he is himself a PDR (Person of Dubious Reality). Furthermore, his psychiatrist is particularly sceptical about his claim that his new car repairs itself when no one is watching, and the car salesman who can prove his sanity cannot be found. His self-esteem is somewhat restored when the newspaperman who has been hounding him begs Jack's help in finding his missing sister "Goldilocks". It seems she was working on an explosive story involving cucumber growers.
Meanwhile the Gingerbreadman, the notorious murderous biscuit,(or possibly cake) escapes custody leaving a trail of bodies; Jack is frustrated when the case is given to an unimaginative officer outside NCD. While Jack and Mary are making enquiries about Goldilocks, they twice encounter the fugitive biscuit, but fail to capture him.
It emerges that Goldilocks was involved in the porridge-smuggling after her body is discovered in the grim theme park Sommeworld. Jack begins to suspect the Gingerbreadman is a hired assassin and attempts to question the Quangle-Wangle, a reclusive industrialist. The solution to the mystery involves secret industrial and government conspiracies and the mysterious Fourth bear...
I totally dug this book. My only real gripe is that I feel really stupid when talking to peoples about the really great book I just listened to. Saying that is so rediculous feeling... Right after the words come out of my mouth I feel a little illiterate. *grumble grumble* I just home from the library with my newest selection of books on CD, I will crochet the world a prayer shawl with all the literary goodness I have to listen to as the sound track, I can't wait! My current audio library consists of: Certain Girls - Jennifer Weiner and Several works by Ms. Jane Austen, Mansfeild Park, Persuasion, Emma (My Favorite!), and Sense and Sensibility. Time to get to work!!

Happy President's Day!
Heh, did you know that today is President's Day? I had totally forgotten until I got to the Pacific Post Office. Then like a little mocking ocean wave flooding my mind I remembered all of the "Remember: Post Office with be closed on 2/16" and "Library Will be Closed 2/16 in observation of President's Day" signs I had seen over the last two weeks. *grumble* Stupid random holidays, going around mucking up my plans for productive days. Now, despite the lameness factor of the Post Office and Library being closed I was able to get a flat rate envelope to ready my application and to return the first book on CD that I had borrowed. Then I drove around Pacific, which basically means "I drove down the other road in Pacific" and saw the sights!
I looked in the windows of the post office, the only actual post office-y part is that little sticking out part of the building... The rest is some form of a gift shop, they sell ficuses and Mylar balloons. There really isn't much else to Pacific, it's just a bunch of residential streets and bike trail - it is a really nice bike trail though, it kind of makes me wish I had a bike. And then, because I got bored with Pacific's one street I drove on over to Algona - that also only has one major road. I stopped in a general parking lot area in "Down Town" Algona which located at a major intersection/4-way stop and just watched the road for a bit while listening to Don and Ron on KIRO 710 AM. - I love KIRO! I'm going to be incredibly sad once they officially go to FM and I wont be able to listen to them on the AM in my car... Bah who cares!?! I'm selling my car anyway! Bah! But, I digress... :-P I sat at the intersection and addressed my flat rate envelope for WY and looked over my application. And praise Jesus I did! I had forgotten to get Pastor Tim's phone number and address for the reference section of the application. Have no fear! All is well, I sent him an e-mail as soon as I got home, I should be hearing from him shortly. Maybe me forgetting President's Day was God's way of getting my back. :-) Perhaps.
Here's some of the pictures I took while sitting in Algona.
Today is pretty much a wonderfully beautiful day, however it does seem to be just a little too windy and a lot too cold to call it prefect. I really think getting up early is good for me, I'm in a better mood and I feel so much more productive. And now, my legs hurt because they are tired from working, not sitting in a chair all day; It's a good pain. Today, I made all of the bread dough by myself, only a little bit of help from Manager Bryan when I had a question about the sugar free bread that I was making. Then I baked it with the help of Dominique and Lauren, two of the lovely ladies that I have the pleasure of working with. I get to work with Dominique the most, I like working with her the best - She's really good at seeing things that need to be done and helping to get them done as a team. Tomorrow, I get to learn how to make scones, cookies, brownies, and coffee cake, I can't wait. I'm sure I have lots of other fun things to write about. I'll just have to do it later. I'm tired and I need to crochet some monkey feet.

5 Minute Up-Date
-I'm in to 2nd day of week two as Ms. Baker-Extraordinaire! J'adore!
-My application for FSB is ready, I'm actually in a rush to go to the post office and mail it... *eeks*
-Today I made "For Sale" signs for my car, since the totally radical plan of my home-skizzle, Christine buying my car fell though. I checked KBB and my car is totally worth like $4,940!
-No one wants to buy my side kick on Craigslist.com. *grunt* However, Dave's ex-wife may want to purchase it. (Dave of course being my home-skizzle Christine's old man.)
-I spent Valentine's day with my Angie-bun's and aside from a ridiculously long wait to get a pedicure, my day was perfect! I *heart* Angie.
Oh, there is loads more to say but it will have to wait until later my books on CD are waiting at the library for me! I'll tell you all about my books on CD plan later... Oh, and my Bryan, my boss (aka Bryan the bread guy.) TOTALLY says "Ly-Berry" and "On Accident"... *blank stare*
Okay, going.

You did what to yourr hair?!?!?
The Secret Life of Family

Occupation: Baker!
Application for FSB: Practically ready to mail
Weight: Exactly 296lbs
Hair Cut: I needs one!
Today was pretty much amazing! I really like my new job, baking in is the life for me. Well, I absolutely feel that way right now, I hope I do forever! I'm waiting for some invisible ball to drop and I wake up one morning and hate it. I don't think that will happen in the next seven months. So far everything about my job is enjoyable for me, I get to play with live yeast (Don't be jealous!), I get to knead dough, use a cash register, ANNNDD I have to wear a sweet bandanna; kinda like Bret Michaels, except less hard core and less sex, drugs, and rock and roll. :-P
In FSB news - 'Cause I know you're all wondering. Dad was able to get my immunization records from the Military, thus I did not have to go be immunized at Federal Way public health. The applcation it self requests to have my doctor sign it as validation of my inoculations, but after a very sweet e-mail from yours truely, the admisnistration department approved the copy of my military records and told me I didn't need a doctors signature on the application. Now, all that's left is to get a recent photo of myself. Last week, in between my last day at my call center and my first day at GH, Sarah took some pitures of me. They were pretty alright, I'm currently waiting for AJ to e-mail them to me so that I can go get one developed. As soon as I have the picture, I can send off my app! *happy dance*
Last night we had an improtu family dinner, at first it was just going to be Sarah, Aj, Dad, D, Aunt Lolita, Her man friend Henry, and myself. It was supposed to just be a dinner where Sarah, Aj, and I met Henry. Henry is my aun't Lolita's friend, he was visiting her from Austria. (Random, I know... magic of the interwebs.) But, apprently one thing lead to another and dinner ended up being Thanksgiving minus the booze. Not only were Sarah, Aj, and I there so were Lolita, Henry, my grandma and her new husband, Griz, Angie, Bethie, Nicole, Dad, and D. Aj and Sarah made Nicole take a picture.

Well, I'm pretty darn tired and I have to go get my picture printed and possibly a hair cut.

My Deliciousssss
So, guy's and gals here is my first original pie.
It will be on my delicious pie menu when I open my bakery. Here's some pictures! I call it Indie Rock Pie since I was rockin' out to to my Regina Spektor channel on Pandora.com whilst creating it. The pie is a concoction of apples, oranges, dried cranberries, cinnamon, and maple syrup in a whole wheat crust. It's pretty much absolutely delectable!
I also made a pecan pie. Which I tell you was also delicious. Is it cocky of me to claim my pies deliciosity? I don't think so, because they are pretty awesome. :-P I love pie.

Call Centers Be Darned
Entertainment: Flight of The Conchords
Car: Freshly vacuumed and trash free.
Current Loan/Credit Card Debt: $3,579
Car: $3,954.18
Just a note on my previous entry: Well, okay... I might just tone down my complaining. There's gotta be a healthy amount of complaining. It's all about balance and moderation. With that said, I would like to complain about my cell phone. I recently downgraded from my SideKick to a silver Nokia that doesn't even have a camera. *grumble* It's rediculously hard to text on, average text message is taking me about 1.5 minutes. Good new though, instead of paying the D's $45 formy phone, I'll be paying them $15ish; totally wonderful!
*burp*
Alright, now let's talk about my life recently; picking up from last Saturday. I worked until 9pm, which is the ush. Around 8pm I started getting text messages from Logan and Eric, I had conned Logan into coming to the Young Adults get together at the church and he brought Eric with him. Apparently though, Jessie (The chick running the gatherings) had decided to move the get-together to house. So, when Logan and Eric showed up at LTCC at 8pm they almost walked in on an AA meeting. I told Logan that Jessie moving the location of the get-together might have been God's way of telling him something... *raises eyebrows* Logan and Eric via some form of intervention from the pastors Son, Paul (I'm not exactly clear on all of details.) found their way to Jessie's house and by 9:35pm I was there too. Surprisingly enough I actually had a moderately good time. I'm looking forward to my near YA group future.
In call center news, I'm extremely pleased to announce that last night was my last night at Giant Christian NGO Call Center. No more call centers for me! *happy dance* I start at the Bakery, as a bread baker on Sunday morning at 6am. I pretty sure that someone should buy my some celebratory gifts. Think about it? *wink*
Also, in other superrrrr exciting news! I'm taking another step toward paying off my debt, Christine (My other bestie/homeskillzle) offered to take over the loan and buy my car. That means I'll have another $300 monthly to pay toward my lame-o credit cards. (Also, I will not have a car.) I can't wait to have no credit cards. A word of advice kids, DONT EVER GET CREDIT CARDS. Just get a savings account... No one ever died because they didn't have a credit card to pay for something. I totally wish that I had realized that earlier. Last week I canceled one credit card and shredded my Lane Bryant and Visa cards. *jumps in excitement* I'm totally digging my Dave Ramsey class, you should atleast read his books if you can't take one of the Fanancial Peace classes. If I know you and you ask me nicely you can borrow mine. :-)
Tonight, I'm going to Sarah's and Angie's water erobics class, we're bringing Beth with us. I can't wait! Me + bathing suit + hairy legs and arm pits = sexy! Maybe one day I'll discuss why I think everyone should stop shaving.
Well, time to go!

Bad Daughter
Ephesians 6:1-4 - Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Romans 13:1-7 - Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.
1 Corinthians 10:10 - And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Other Random Quote - "While the Bible says that complaining is a sin, it also states that it can lead to further disobedience. Along with complaining comes pouting. If you complain too much or focus on all the negative things, you can lose sight of all the good things God does in your life. This can lead to an attitude where you lose faith and cause others to lose faith, too."
*Feels Convicted*
Sooo, I may not really disobey my parental figures, I sure to grumble about them, A LOT. I know that my complaining only causes me to have animosity toward them. Even after I bring up issues and they are pretty much resolved, I dwell on them and I don't forgive. I should be turning the other cheek.
But, where do you draw the line on being walked all over and "choosing my battles"?
I'm going to stop complaining.

Death, Taxes, and Distraction

I've decided there are actually three things in my life that I am sure of and that will surely happen to me. One being of course, I shall surely die. Two, that I will have to pay taxes, make just barely enough to join the next tax bracket and thus be raked across the tax shaped coals of a $160 refund. And then three, I will be distracted and not accomplish nearly close to what I had planned for myself. Tonight my dears was of no exception to that third truth; however, my future had looked bright for about the first 45 minutes after I got home. I arrived home and to my wonderful pleasure the D's were not home, Friday night is apparently "date night". *shivers* *gags* I promptly removed my shoes, (In my room, I dare not leave them in any place they would be see. Because should anyone see that we wear shoes and take them off before walking on the carpet, it would be the demise of us all!) grabbed my W2's (Yep, I have two.) and then headed for the "Office" to file my taxes via taxact.com - All free tax filing, all the time!
At this point in the story I would like to take a moment to discuss how when I entered the office I found that D's computer was on... She left it on... not I... I'm pretty sure someone died somewhere because of it. (I've been accused of not caring for D's feelings because I left the computer on once....)
Anywaysssss, the point of the boring story about my taxes is that about half way through, after I had found out that I would only be getting $160 back and after I was not able to log on to the World Vision website to get my charitable giving information for 2008, I became shamelessly and utterly distracted. I got a text message from Logan, my home skillzel. I called him so that I could finish both my taxes and talk with him; unfortunately my ingenious plan back fired on me. Not only did I not finish filing my taxes, I ended up talking with him and not finishing my testimony, baking pies for some people at work, and not finishing Bethie's first monkey. Gah! Sure, I never promised to do those things to anyone, still deep down inside my heart is sad from broken promises made to myself. Have has anyone else ever felt this way?
Still, being the positive person that I am, I always try to look at the up side of things. By talking with Logan, I was able to bond with and learn new things about a person I had not spoken to in some time. I was even able to talk him into maybe coming to the Young Adults gathering at Lake Tapps tomorrow night, that way I don't feel so alone. And, because I had my phone with me right after getting of the phone with Logan I was able to get a message from my Homie Kenzie in Wyoming, (She's my connection on FSB inside.) she's been feeling a bit down so I was able to offer her some support an encouragement that I might not have otherwise been able to offer. The reason for her "down'ness" is a whole other blog that I might one day explore, the topic of Christian College's being a breeding ground for young marriages. On that thought though, if I was ever specifically looking for a husband, looking at a Christian College would probably be the best place to look.
Well, I'm off now. Deuces!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
Wow, so it's about a month too late for a look back/review of the last year. I think though that this is my time to look and see the changes over the last several months. It really amazes me to see all of the sadness and frustration that fill our human lives. Truly I believe though that sad times enormously outweigh the good times, but the good times are SOOO GOOD that they make it worth all of the frustration, tears, anger, or loneliness; it's hard to believe though when you're in the middle of the sad. Well, I guess that's all I have to say about that. How vaguely existential of me.
Now, things on the school front are moving right along... I have an appointment at public health to get my MMR immunization (possibly booster) on Feb 6th; Dad is on a mission to get my shot record from the military before the fateful day. Bakery day number uno is on Feb 4th (Which also happens to be Eric's birthday.) I'm all nervous and excited, I hope they like me! :-)
I'm gonna shove off and get to sleep now, tonight I'm sleeping one Sarah's couch.
Hey! Check out one of the awesome pictures I found when I image Googled "random", enjoy!
Peace Out!

Caution: Wet Floors
Gender: I've got the lady parts
Political Views: "Go Panthers!"
Current Weep Causer: VeggieTales
Occupation: Baker at Great Harvest Bread Co.
*Does the Truffle Shuffle*
I woke up at 4:30am this morning... Well, technically yesterday morning but I haven't been to be yet so, right now is still my Wednesday. Anyway, I woke up at 4:30am, got ready, left the house late but managed to arrive at my desired location a few minutes before 6am. I was there with Brian The Bread Guy -Also known as Brian The Manager - and Daniela, she is the other employee whose been working at GHB Co. for about 10 years in addition to Brian. I learned all about mixing sponges, making dough, and then kneading and shaping breads for pans. I really liked the whole kneading experience, it's very social. Brian was a lot of fun to work with, he's very patient while showing me how to do things and he has at least some form of a sense of humor. He talks a lot too; I learned about how he got a hip replacement when he was 38, that he has asthema, and that he is alergic to all animals but he has a 24lb, 13 year old, black cat named Edgar that he got while living in NY. At the end of my "audition" shift at 11am Brian offered me a job there! I start as soon as my current employer releases me and I'm turning in my two weeks notice tomorrow! As of right now my last day will be Wednesday, February 4th. *giddy*
In other news, I spent about 2 hours calling around to doctors offices trying to get an appointment for a check up and get my MMR immunization, I didn't get the booster in my teen years and now it's required to go to FSB (Frontier School of The Bible). Funny thing is though that no family practice offices do MMR immunizations. I even resorted to calling pediatric doctors; apparently though they don't take new patients over the age of 12 years old. I ended up getting a tip off from one of the receptionists and one of the many doctors offices I called, she reccommended that I try contacting the Auburn Public Health Dept., so that I did. I finally got in contact with someone in the department and made an appointment for February 6th to go in and get my $35 MMR immunization; in the end it only took me 4 hours.... *yawn* I'm also working with Dad to get my immunization records released from the military, I was assuming that my immunization records and my medical records were one in the same, turns out however that they are not. But, this is a good thing, since my actual official medical records are nearly impossible to get the immunization records can be requested by my Dad if he presents a written request from me to have the records given to him. It's all turning out easier than anticipated.
In more school news, I emailed FSB yesterday requesting an information packet, I got confirmation from the school office that a package was sent to me today. I'm totally excited!
Well, I'm horribley tired, I'm going to bed now.

Audition Wednesday!

*breath*
*breath*
*pant*
*hyperventilating*
*....*
So, tomorrow is audition day at Great Harvest. I have to remember to ask about pay, benefits, and beginning hours. I totally keep forgetting. I'm about to head off to sleep, for my 6 hours of rest before getting up and learning what Brian The Bread Guy calls "Sponges and Doughs". Really, when he puts it that way it makes it sound incredibly exciting! :-P
I've found a place in Pierce County to go get a new food handler's permit, since I did not renew mine when it expired 2 years ago. I really haven't needed it without working at camp these last few years and not choosing to continue a promising career as a "Hot Dogger" at Hot Dog On a Stick... And I had so much promise.... I'll be able to go in on Friday and get it done, I'm so excited! Now, in churchy news... I got a letter from the pastor of my church today about my inquiry to become a member of the church. Dad and D. also got a letter from the pastor, mine had a hand written note in it from the pastor "I'm excited about Frontier!" it said. I don't think it makes me special, mostly because he and I have been emailing back and forth about meeting and filling out a reference form for me. But D. got that envious look in her eye and her body language changed. One thing I've noticed about this lady is that she is a total brown noser! She really likes to things in her life to "look" just the right way, the way they're "supposed" to look. She's told me on a few occasions that when I don't go to church it makes them -being Dad and D- look bad. Honestly who cares?!?! And I would also like to make sure that even missing one Sunday seems to put D's panties in a bind. She also really like to be "in" with the people in power, i.e. the pastor of our church. It seems to me sometimes that she's more concerned about the way she and her family is perceived than she is about how things really are.
I've been praying a lot for my heart toward she and Dad. Sometimes it is really hard for me emotionally to deal with. I've been praying for D too, she's had a pretty messed up life. My prayer is that she learn not to take everything so seriously and learn to just let people love her and not try so hard. I'm pretty much certain that God has a lesson for me to learn from her.
Alright, now that you're all informed, I've vented a little bit, and also had some delicious SkinnyCow ice cream. I'm headed to bed.
Thinking about HDOS made me think of this sweet video, I hope you like it!

Gideon's Testimony

When I was about 6 years old I prayed the prayer of salvation, asking the lord Jesus into my heart. I prayed that prayer with a simplistic understanding of Jesus’ love for me and that I knew more than anything in the world that I definitely did not want to go to that horrible place the teacher at my VBS was talking about - hell. I grew up in a Christian house hold where my parents were both heavily involved in the different churches we went to over the years, which means I was also heavily involved in the church. It wasn’t until after I lost my mother at the age of 14 that I actually began a journey to really understand faith and the love that my Savior had for me. I really don’t believe that I will ever be able to fully comprehend the sacrifice and magnitude of the love that God has for me and his other children. I know now that through the belief that I have in the Lord Jesus Christ that I am forgiven and saved. In my late teens I rededicated my life to Jesus, as an adult I find that each morning I must do the same. Life is hard and I find each morning surrendering my heart, my life, my hands and feet to follow the will that God has for me, for that day absolutely necessary.
Over the years I’ve been involved with various forms “official” service for the Church, as an Awana leader, volunteering for Village Missions and World Vision, and leading worship for my youth group. However, in addition to that work I feel that the most important service I can do for the Lord is in every interaction I have. Each conversation that I have and every action that I take is a chance that I have to share the love that Jesus gives through me with others. As Christians I believe that the Lord leads us to live a life in the mission field; every day that we live is a day we live as a missionary for him. At this point in my life I don’t know if God wants me to pursue a career in missions such as a pastor or missionary, but I am willing to go wherever his hand leads me.
Within the last year the Lord has put on my heart that I need to understand where my life is going and I’ve prayed for Him to open doors for me and to help me know what he wants me to do so that I can serve him better. Since then the Lord has delivered me from an unfulfilling job and has opened doors to a new job where I was able to work with Christians. I really enjoy the atmosphere of working with hundreds of fellow Christians but in my heart I know that working there was not the place where my path is leading. Now, the Lord has opened doors for me to meet people who have attended various forms of Christian education, lead me to learn about FSB, and has provided funding for school that was not anticipated for several years.
I am so thankful for the blessings I have received and the way that everything is falling into place shows me that I am in line with what the Lord wants for my life. I am open to go and be wherever He leads me and so excited and eager to see what He has for me next. I don’t have a grand story of a life filled with depression, drugs, or alcoholism, where in my lowest of low I was pulled up by the love of my Savoir; What I do have is a story of a practically born and raised Christian girl who has had my highs, my lows, my falls, and my fears. I know that through me I will be a teacher, an encouragement, or an inspiration for someone. My goal for my life now and for my future is to be that tool for God and to serve him in everyway possible.
